I tried to export the mail on my other machine, but get a MAPI error, so I'm back to the drawing board of manually adding folders back into an identity (I have 6 identities). I dont mind doing so (i did do this for my main identity on the win98 machine) , but if I could find the gol darned folders on my win2000

What they call "groups" are what you are calling "folders". Aside from that make sure that your location for Toolbox is not read only before adding folders, groups or parts. Best of luck.
